can't load mapsource onto new computer

Hi folks,
this may be more "computer help" but here goes

I've bought a new computer, and I can't load mapsource onto it. The original CD I have is CN6, with mapsource on it, and I have upgrade CD CN7 and upgrade DVD CN8.

When I try to load the original CD (CN6), it says:

severe:
Please start this data CD install from the Setup CD

I think that the original CD (CN6) may not be compatible with XP.
Anyone had this problem ?

Peter,

your using the wrong cd, the installation procedure start with another cd labelled "Mapsource Setup CD". Insert the setup cd and follow the instruction to complete the installation of CN6, then upgrade directly to CN8
