captains ride out without the aformentioned tosser

Good to meet up this morning. It was nice to see you all at Newlands (well, Haggis, PJ, Great Scott and NCPierce). Sorry I didn't have the guts to ride in the cold to Devils Dyke but AT LEAST I TURNED UP for a coffee and chat.............:augie

PS, Auto have you found your keys yet.........:blast

Fixed it for you .... :augie

How are you mate?

Another great Newlands Posse rideout even if a little short on the Posse :augie. Well lead by Haggis (The spirit of the Captain Lives on) and without sat nav :thumb.
A few dodgy corners with sheet ice, but in all the roads weren't too bad.
Nice to meet a couple more new faces :clap.

Hopefully do another one in a few weeks (Andy should have found his keys by then :D) and hopefully a bit warmer as well.

Cheers lads. Good on Haggis for taking the lead :clap Good to meet you and have a nice little ride out. Hope you all got home safe. Bike washed and safely in the garage:)

PS Perhaps I'll meet Auto another day :mmmm

Thank you Gents for a good day out! :thumb2 Most enjoyable.

Good to see you at Newlands, SADO but sorry you couldn't join us. You'd only have got that pristine bike of yours a bit dirty :augie

I got a text sometime during the return journey from Autogs to say he'd just found his keys! :blast Or should that be 'key' as it seams BMW don't actually give you a spare key when you spend all that money on a new bike!:nenau

You'd think it was cold...

Thanks ncpierce for the route back. There were a couple of scary patches here and there.

Right PJ, here's to Wales!:thumb

Thanks to haggisblower and PJ1200 for the run down to Devils Dyke. Its not a proper ride without at least 1 group u-turn. May be everyone else will reappear once it gets a bit warmer. :comfort

I saw -6.5 degrees on the temperature gauge at one point on my way to Newlands this morning. I think it maxed out at around +5 on the sunny south coast.

Thanks ncpierce for the route back. There were a couple of scary patches here and there.

Glad you enjoyed the run home. The only dodgy patches I saw was the 2 motorway crossings when we were almost home. I get a bit annoyed with the twat in the M3 near Ardingly hence my slight turn of speed :augie

Bike washed and safely in the garage

I wish I'd had the chance. The outside tap at the flats is frozen so I managed to only wash a bit off with what was left in my garden sprayer!

Must do it again!

Nigel

....glad you all made kept it rubber side down this time ... :augie

Well done Haggis - you are now officially the leader of the gang - I had the title with a Remus pipe - but your pipes are so much better ... :oonyack

Nice to see that PJ made the effort again, shaving, washing, brushing his hair .... :augie ... :D .. :thumb

Auto - that has to be the most lame exuse for not going for a ride ... almost as bad as SADO ... "it's too cold" ...

:clap

ok i expected worse than that

so fully dressed in all my thermals and boots etc ready for the off at 9.45

then no fecking key anywhere

turned house and garage and shed upside down no fecking key

searched my car the wifes car no fecking key

phoned the inlaws where we had bin staying with last few days and asked them to check a jacket i had there they tell me no key

so wife drags me and the kids out shopping,

while carrying my daughter i feel something dig into me

search my inside jacket pocket(same jacket the inlaws looked in earlier)

and there was my fecking key

new years day anyone?

thanks all for hanging around

see you next time maybe

Link to the old photos of Newlands Corner I spoke about...

I'll say it again "AT LEAST I TURNED UP".......

"It's never too cold to ride, there's no such thing as bad weather only inappropriate clothing":rob

It was fecking cold yesterday although I was much colder whilst standing around Newlands for 2 hours waiting for the organiser of the ride out to turn up than when I was actually riding.........:augie:D:oonyack

Oi, may I remind you... this was meant to be Autogs's run originally!.. :augie Just stepping up!

PJ and I were in agreement that you'd have loved the route! There were sections of country lanes similar to the ring :ymca.

Anyway, I'll take your first comment (before you got jealous :comfort).

...Well done Haggis...
