I looking for a numpty's guide as to how to lift a map from Google maps so I can post it

press print screen (top right hand corner of Kboard) , then open an image software prog (MS Paint will do) , make a NEW image, hit paste.......et voila!

Ok, forget that, unless you only want to show a picture of a map.
To do what I just did above, set your map up in Google maps, then click the link button which is just outside the top left corner of a map (it looks like a couple of chain links)
That opens up a box......don't go for the immediate cut and paste in the lower box, instead, click the "Customise and preview embedded map"
You'll now have a new window and youo can muck about with the size and stuff.....then when happy with it, copy and paste the HTML from the box underneath.
EDIT......you can totally customise it further if you want to by running the Google maps API on your website......that takes a bit more work, but it means you can add your own maps with customised markers (EG flags for premises etc etc)
I'd have to go into that further 'cos i cant remember off the top of my head, but it's not hard...I used to run it on my Moto Morocco website and it just takes a bit more messing around.

Cheers guys. I have a Mac (yeah I know - I ride a 1200 too - what can I say) does that make any difference?
