Car clutch replacement in Plymouth ...help

Help please...
My son works for the Royal Navy in Plymouth. He thinks his clutch has just gone in his Vauxhall Astra 1.7d as its making 'grinding' noises he says
Anyway...from 440 miles away I can't really help him.

Can anyone recommend a decent garage down there ? It could be a Vauxhall main dealer or an independent...
