Recently bought a car fitted with the above ms5500 fitted, but I know little of how this system and how the licencing works.
When purchased it works, but not now. I get the impression it works on an expiry date, as it has expired no map/directions, is the only way to use this system to pay and unlock? or is there an alernative?, can it just not work on the orginal maps, shipped with, seems a bit daft you have to continually pay to unlock. This limitation does not exisit with the inexpensive Garmin Quest and the rest!
Is there anyworkaround?
