The other half is off to Slovakia in Sept to visit her parents.
This time she is hiring a car and doing a bit of travelling.

Can anyone reccomend a reasonably priced satnav to take with her. Doesnt need all of the whistles and bells just how to get from A to B.

Will be used when she gets back as well as our £5 carboot sale garmin is getting a bit tired now:D

Reccomendations please or does anyone have something lurking in a drawer they want to offload.

Cheers

Wifey bought a new garmin 54 (or something like that) recently. All of europe and free map updates for life. Halfrauds for €100.

The 54 won't take routes made up on Basecamp etc, it's a very basic car device, better to spend a little more and get one that does take routes.

I've never used routes or Basecamp. I use the GPS to get me to the place I need to be next. And Basecamp seems to to cause a lot of stress to guys here if the threads are true.
