I've got a Carbtune and I live in Stowmarket. I'll be at a pub in Bury on Wednesday night, so I could bring it along and you can meet me there.

My office is in Bacton, 15 mins from Stow.

However, having now seen what it is you're both recommending, and feeling a right tit for buying the cheapie 20 quid one from Hallies, I may just take the bull by the nipplies and buy one for me lil ole self..
I'll let you know if I can find one at the right price, looks like 50 quid is the going rate so far..

Yep, that's it...'cept mine is old enough to still have mercury instead of the steel rods they use nowadays.

I've got the steel rod version, but I'm happy with the results.

By the way, they're cheaper from Carbtune directly. Whatever you don't check out the other products, or you'll be trying to work out if you can really justify the fibrescope

Drop me a line if you still want to borrow mine - this way you'll find out if you get on with it before you shell out the readies, and I'm not using it for anything else at the moment.
