My 900 Yamaha diversion suffers from a well documented fault, carb. icing. This is despite the fact that it has carb. heaters (which are working) There are specific additives available to cure this, but as I ride 250 miles a week, these work out quite dear.

Someone on the Yamaha Diversion website has said that adding this will help the problem.

Any thoughts on the subject?

Had a ZX9r that suffered really badly, I just made sure the carb heater filter was clean and added Silkolene Pro FST, plus I uprated the thermostat from a later model that opened hotter. Seem to work on all but the coldest/dampest days.

My old GPZ900r was the same, turned out the filter got clogged so no hot water was getting to the carbs casing the icing.

Mind you is the divvy water cooled?
