The bike is starting and running reasonably well but I’m aware that it’s a good few years since I last stripped, cleaned and balanced the carbs so I’m going to pull them apart over the next few days - externally they are filthy but as I say they work well enough. Obviously, the float bowl gaskets need changing - has anyone used the Silikone alternatives supplied by Siebenrock as the cork one’s last next to no time. Any other recommendations?

I'm using the viton rubber ones on my basic and so far so good. Time will tell if they last any better than the standard cork ones

I’ve used the rubber ones and found they work very well. Coped with several float bowl removals and never leaked. Comes apart cleanly unlike cork ones which are hit and miss when it comes to reuse.
