I like Carbon effect or real carbon on an Exhaust, for the main reason it is safe to touch that part of the exhaust when up at full working temperature, cannot do that with a stainless steel exhaust, without scalding your fingers or leg.
Image below was of my carbon effect exhaust on my GTR1400, bought from well known manufacturer, like said safe to touch and hold a hand onto it, for long period if need be.
Plus INMO looks cool, and much lighter than most metal or stainless ones.

Looks good to me, the original BMW exhaust isn't that bad - not like some of the wheelie bins that get put on some bikes these days. Guess manufacturers don't waste money designing decent ones as probably get replaced on most bikes!

The carbon heat shield looks a LOT easier to clean than the OEM one, so I'd be interested just for that

That looks okay on the 1300 standard exhaust……where is it from?

Thailand. A company called RPM Carbon. I was there in November. I ordered the bits beforehand and had them delivered to one of the hotels I stayed at Bangkok. I'm about to order some more, this time to for delivery to Europe so let's see how it goes.

Looks good on the GS there
