Should have a cardo scala g4 on wednesday :D, Have had no problems with the q2 but music was never fantastic sound .The new unit is supposed to sound a lot better.Going to give the wife the q2 so she can give orders from the back seat :augie

Never had any problems with the q2, But yes the radio which was not brill on the q2 is very good can also cope with more than one bluetooth at the same time.
This is handy as my garmin 660 won't suppor voice dial on my e71 nokia but the cardo will
My q2 was £115 and the g4 £200 need more time to see if it's worth the extra

The old teamset is a good piece of kit. The only problem i have is the Bluetooth dropping and sometimes when starting out Bluetooth refuses to connect then half an hour later it kicks in.
Is there any improvments in the connectivity?

Yes locks on quick and not dropped out yet,had music playing from my phone which was in my pocket good sound and in stereo :D no lost connection

Is the audio over Bluetooth in stereo? Is the volume the same or is it louder than the Q2? I'm happy with my Q2's apart from having to use a cable to get stereo, and I always seem to have it on full volume and would like just a little bit more. Oh, and the FM drifting everywhere - it has RDS?

Hmmm.. Could be interested then. I bought 2 x Q2's from the US a couple of years ago and even with the duty it was a lot cheaper than in the UK. Maybe I will have a trawl via ebay.:)

Hi Mark, is the your new G4 louder than your original Scala, do you wear ear plugs?

It does look a very smart unit!

Cheers :thumb

It is very loud if you have it on full,There is more than enough volume
A friend got mine from the importer's as i say only released last week :thumb
it's a £200 price tag though

Sorry to keep asking question Mark but can you charge it while wearing/using it on the bike?

uses a mini usb connection, so a phone charger or computer will also charge it
and if the lead is long enough from the phone charger you could charge while riding

I have a Scala Q2 which I will be selling, it has been converted by replacing the speakers with a 3.5 socket, but I have bought the Scala G4, so When I convert that I can have the speakers connected to a 3.5 Plug.It doesn't come with a mains charger, but a 12v. one.Looking for about £55 posted to the UK. All in the original Box with Manual.
