Cardo scarla g4 solo

If I buy the g4 solo can I link up to my riding buddies if they also have the g4 solo as I don't need two devices rarely take a pillion, or is it worth buying the two pack and splitting the devices between my mates will that still work ok save a bit of money, sorry if it's a numpty question but I'm new to this adventure riding been on sports bikes to long.

If they have a G4 or any of the older Scala's, you can link in with them no problem.
