Carol Nash tried to screw me over new GS!

Heres another Carole Nash story...

I took the option of alarm fitment at £299...Datatool thingy.

Since then the alarm 'flash' of the indicators has packed up..and the starter button stopped working too.(Had to fiddle under the tank to get it going).

I wasn't filled with confidence when the carole nash fitting 'engineer' asked me how to take the tank off!!

Insurance wise...top people, polite, courteous and they'll insure a guy with no no-claims, commutes 500 miles a week and leaves his bike parked on the street....

CN..............

GS1150 + CX650TURBO+XL185=£209 Fully comp inc Race Can on the GS.

No Complaints at that sort of price,,,,,,,,,,,,,:D

I dropped into my local BMW dealership (Prestige of Bexlyheath) they told me they only insure BMW bikes. As Mike O thought.
After contacting my insurance broker again (Motorcycle Direct) they quoted me £332 full comp & £192 TPFT for my Yamaha FJ1200 & the BMW F650. I then contacted Carol Nash & they quoted £322 full comp & £185 TPFT. So I rang Motorcycle direct again & surprise Surprise they managed to get my insurance down to £310 full comp and £170 TPFT with only 2 years NCB.

This just goes to show its worth playing one insurance against another, OK so it’s only a saving of £22 on their first quote, but it’s better than a kick in the teeth.

im with carol nash .just bought a new gs they just transfered cover and gave me a rebate.dint fit an alarm only 20 quid differance they said no prob

Mine was similar 'cept my "new to me" GS is 2000 model secondhand... cost £24 to change policy for 7 months remaining over my same aged but less valuable Bandit 1200!

And CN didn't ask for an alarm to be fitted like they did when I bought the Bandit new.... had to have a Datatool or Meta fitted or no cover.

SPC said they could do it cheaper than that when renewal comes up, along with my other bike.. the GT750 "Kettle".....
