Carrying a lock - no underseat storage?

Hey Gang,

I just noticed that my 2014 1200 WC doesn't have a recess under the pillion seat for holding a lock like my old one did - has anybody found innovative ways of carrying a D-lock or chain? The old solution was quite elegant, feels like we've taken a small step back here.

my abus disc lock in its case, fits under rear seat no problem

Yeah, a disk lock wouldn't be hard to stash in luggage either, I just like the D lock as it allows me to lock the bike to something.
