Anybody ever looked into carrying a bicycle on back of GS? Notice there is a company in the US that sells a bracket but doesn't appear to be any interest or demand in UK.

Not sure if it's legal - which could be the reason.

Any ideas?

I did consider knocking something up myself for long weekends away. Would have made it a complete weekend for me then. Was thinking more like holding the frame and wheels slightly differently. Assume legally as long as your lights, indicators and reg plate visible then personally can't see a problem...

I saw a guy on a Versys with a bike on the back on the A69 a year or two back, but we passed in opposite directions and I didn't work out how it was done. I would be very interested in the answer too.

Thats not a pushbike, its a for when your pulling wheelies.

Depending on how far if at all the bike projected from the rear of the bike this may need to be considered.

Just a followup on my original post, it's apparently legal to carry a bicycle on the back of a motorcycle (same as pulling a trailer). Can't be wider than bike and would need a warning triangle if over hanging the bike by something like 1.3m. Apparently plod would only be concerned if it made the motorcycle dangerously unstable (which applies to loading luggage anyway).

I also exchanged emails with a bike solicitor who said it was a grey area of the law but the bicycle would definitely not be covered in the event of an accident / claim.

My late, great friend Dave Roberts, aka greenvfr, with his home-built mountain bike carrier.
