I know that this is a silly idea but here goes... I have bought two tyres for my GS1150. They are in London and I am in Brighton. I want to pick them up and bring them home on the bike. I know I could take a car but where is the fun in that?

My bike has the full luggage and rails for BMW's black plastic bulbous boxes.
Has anyone done this? Any suggestions?

Take the top box off if you have one so you have a reasonably flat deck, bung the hoops on top and bungee them down.

Simple....much less difficult than your question implies you believe it to be...did it when I got my new ones put on but wanted to keep the old.

Listen to Bill he knows a thing or two about carrying a spare tire around !!!!:judge :thumb :hogroast :dance :driving :wave dance pize :jibberbig :boobies :boozer :boozer :boozer :boozer :boozer

you are joking - 2 tyres -

i've had an 1100 engine on the back of my bike !!!!!!!

Thanks for the help.
I am impressed with Steptoe's bike having two engines.
Where did the shaft of the second one go?:o
