Following on from the 'Bling wheels' thread.

Can we have sensible suggestions of what wheels will fit the bikes.. for those who would like to change.

And if possible - what work is involved.

Thought this would be useful for future reference.

many thanks. :thumb2

cast wheels 1100 1150 suggestions

Just remember ... Its ILLEGAL to fit your standard front mudguard with small front wheel. :augie

Going to convert mine, already have the r1150 cast rear wheel, just need the front now :augie

Ive got a spare front wheel. Brand new condition. But its the one without the speedo drive facility. You would have to machine .. or file it to make it fit. Ive got the spacer which is reqd as well. ( see the cast wheel thread. There is a pic of the spacer )
Pm me if interested.
Im going out now.

I've a set

I've a set of alloy BMW wheels bought from this site, decided I'm not going that route, bought from Jim Elderfield (hope I spelt that correctly), if any one's interested I only want what I paid for them , £235 inc tyres, pick up or you arrange postage or your own courier, PM me for details (wont get details till I go to garage tomorrow, I can send pic's to an email address, still don't know how to post on site, I'm a computer numpty) all the best Dusan :thumb2

If you are wanting a proper speedo drive fitted, the machining work would cost you more than it was worth.
