Can anyone recommend a biker friendly hotel in or near Castellane?

they all like bikers ,thats what the place lives for .I have stayed in nearly all of them just turn up and pay your money havent found a bad one.

I spent very pleasent few days in Hotel du Levant Casellane last May... bit shabby but totally acceptable.. Think about 40euro a night single.. Top restaurant and right in the town square beside the few bars etc that are there...

Very relaxing spot to explore the area.

Free WiFi and secure garage parking beside hotel for extra 2-3euro a day.

Highly recommended... :beerjug:

I agree. Just turn up. We've never had to book in advance and they are all biker friendly - even when you arrive wet due to being caught in a storm in the gorge! There's plenty of parking in the square which is outside a lot of the hotels too!

Stayed at Hotel Columbier (b&b only)at Moustiers-Sainte-Marie which is a bit further away, short walk into village, lots of resturants and ideally placed for the Gorge du Verdon. We had garage supplied.

Auberge du lac, Bauduen was a cracking find.

You may have to ride through the gorge from Castellane to get there - poor you!!

parking

just leave the bike in the square I have never had any problems , left every thing from bms to ducatis out there for a few night . the hotels in the square are sometimes shut out of season, so just move on a bit

Thanks for the all the replies, I will try the Hotel du Levant as the town centre cafés and bars will be useful :-)

+1 for the Hotel du Levant Castellane, stayed there in July.
As mentioned above a little bit shabby, but clean, bike friendly, beer was cold and the food was good.
