Afternoon all......

Has anyone bought one of these:

Just wondering how they got on and whether anyone with an '09 GS Adv had fitted one.

Any comparisons with Remus equivalent would be great - especially the more 'tehnical/engineering' members who have an idea of what "45mm OD 1.5mm gauge (wall thickness) 304 stainless steel" is and how that would compare with Remus original item?

Seems quite a cost saving........but my mother always told me "You buy cheap - you buy twice". Mind you, she also told me if I didnt leave it alone it would drop off.......and thats plainly not true....it may have shrunk but its still there.

Thinking of a Xmas pressie for myself...... I mean the exhaust piece - not a replacement cock.

Ok I am not an expert however I bought a set back in the summer for my 05 GS and since fitting them have not looked back. I did read at the time that the quality of finish was not as good as Remus and to be fair they probably could have been slightly better polished in places but on the basis that I never polished the old ones it didn't worry me too much. You need to be careful fitting them as they are matched left and right and if you get this wrong they don't connect up to the Y piece ( so I have heard uhem :augie). Thus far I am a happy camper and from my seat of the pants dyno they certainly made a difference to the mid range - or maybe that was just wishful thinking!. Not sure if they will fit your GSA but no doubt someone else can confirm. I say treat yourself and enjoy!

I've got them on my '08 GS and again pleased with them. My only concern was that they do not come with a support around the piece like the standard CAT ones or in fact the BOS one I had fitted before. The supplier said there was no need, as they are lighter than the BMW one, but I have bodged a support just in case.

I have them running with the standard CAT and works fine, and a reasonable sound on accelaration, but not as noisy as the BOS full sustem. My passenger complained that the BOS was too noisy for her, so it is sttiing in the garage and happy with these as a good compramise and no complaints.
