Short (< 4 min) video of Mr and Mrs Fisher showing me how to take 38 hairpins. Camera taped to beak using parcel tape. Grounded pegs on corners and front wheel elevations on exits. Look out for the wheelying sportsbike overtake!
Great fun, rode the same section a few times but it got busier and busier so we left while we could!

Excellent road. Obviously not in the UK, but where were you ? Bike sounds great

Here - fixed it for you

Good guess, the road is just south of the Harz mountains (Germany) between Kelbra and Bad Frankenhausen on the 85. Bit of a trek at around 500 miles from Calais, however well worth the effort.
As we left the area, there were hoards of sportsbikes heading up that way (Friday afternoon) adorned with full race leather clad riders. Hard to break the limit of 100kmh when you only make 3rd gear twice so no interest from the police, only the private ambulances waiting on standby!
Thanks for fixing the link as well, might be able to drive this forum one day. Took a couple of stills from inside one of the curves...

Your mates KTM has a serious wiring fault, tell him to get it sorted asap. It seems the brake light comes on every time he goes near a corner.

. Look out for the wheelying sportsbike overtake!
Bloody hell at 3.02 he nips past your mate on the Duke and then pulls a big wheelie before dropping it real quick to brake for that next corner . Fekkin loopy.

Fun but a bit scary if one of those other nutters gets it a bit wrong coming the other way.:eek

good video

scraped the peg the other day, scared the life out of me, nice tarmac scrape along my boots, impressed as the rear tyre isnt the best

It's kinda technical..

OK so maybe I should have posted elsewhere, but then it was shot from a gsa beak so if i rename the thread 'technical sample of image quality when shot from a gsa' will you forgive me me moderator?

Regarding the sportsbike overtake, then yes, he was flying. I did see him in my mirrors so delayed the accelaration out of the bend until he had sneaked past. He did wheelie all the way past the SD with 300ft of air to the left side and solid rock to the right side and a 120 degree bend dead ahead. These guys know the road like the the proverbial back of your hand. Look at the stills to see how committed they are around a blind 180 degree corner. Amazingly, if you sit there for a while, a coach or articulated lorry rumbles past (occuping the best part of both carriageways) at circa 15kph. The funniest thing is seeing the Harley owners footing their bikes round the corners. I didn't take any pics of them as they all looked a bit harder than me!
It was more sobering on the way down as some of the bends had a thick black rear tyre type skid mark terminating in a dented lump of armco.
The SD btw was ridden by a chap called Lee, check out the SD forum for feedback as he has also started a thread. I checked it myself and the majority of the replies are to do with my crap camera work...

Who cares anyway, I will be back before the end of the summer to do it again.
