Both boys have their own motorbikes now (much to their Mum's delight), so Mikey on his A2 licence Kawasaki VN650 Vulcan and me went off up the mountains for a scoot.
On the way up to the Col d'Allos
If any of you happens to stop in Colmars on market day, definitely worth checking out the socca van. They're chickpea pancakes, a real provencal treat.
Mikey going past on his bike
Top of the Col
My airhawk has gone a funny colour in the incessant sunshine
Nice views on the northern descent of the Col
Climbing up the north side of the Col de la Cayolle, one of my local favourites
Alpine flowers blocked by big bloody motorbike
One without the bike for you nature lovers
Still on the way up
Happy Morrisons at the top
Another staged pic on the way down the south side.
Photos can never do justice to the sheer scale of the views here.
DOwn the bottom, heading for Daluis.
Love the red rocks here
