I am planning a trip to the USA and want a CB radio on the bike as there is no mobile coverage in large areas of the trip... Has anyone fitted one?
Ideally I want to keep my PMR/FRS on the bilke to chat with other riders and a CB to listen to if I wish (like a music input but with TX)
Autocom do a 1413/1414/1415 cable which is a radio to AUX4 but I wondered if anyone had made a switchable Y piece to monitor both on the proper radio port (the grey cable one), and a toggle to TX on either.
Also, anyone know if the CB frequecies are different in the USA like they are in Europe?
And can anyone suggest a good handheld unit? Motorola/Icom or Kenwood connections prefered
