Thinking about getting one of these for messing about on Salisbury Plain etc

I am new to off road - so need advice please.

Is this any good or any other suggestions.

thanks

I rode one in Andalucia recently and thought it was a great little bike.
It was very easy to ride and very forgiving.

I had a liitle look at this bike. The prices appear to be very competitive, but i'd be a bit wary if they are CCM badged Chinese shite. Not saying these are,but you are better off (imo) buying a ten year old Jap trailie than a new Ching Chang Chong 250.

Yes, they are. Very much a "throwaway bike". The Honda CRF 230 (which they copied) is a better bet, but I would think it will be a touch small for you.

thanks for the info - much appreciated.

I thought CCM were quite good but did not realise this.

I have been looking through ebay - seen a few DRZ but have been told that a 250 would be more than enough for me.

I have a GSA but that is just too much for off road fun.

Maybe the Honda is what I need

Buy an older Honda XR250 perfect for what you want and you'll get a good one for a grand or less.
