I've just tried to make a back up copy:rolleyes: of a music CD but could not do so.
When I explore the CD it comes up with a Folder named 'Player' there are no audio tracks visible, yet when in a cd player ther's plenty of them, anyone come across this and is there any way for me to 'find' the tracks so I can make a back up cd.

you need a copy program. i use Nero or Clone Cd which is really easy to use.

Cheers Cookie, neither of those would work because of the copy protection on the disc, the audio files are not visible to the programs.

A bit of digging around and I came across this on google and now have a perfect copy -

Used the freeware version of ISOBuster to extract the files and then used Nero to burn the CD:thumb2

Clonecd should work too as it understands the new copy protection on music cd's. It will just ask if you only want the audio tracks and forget the rest. I'm guessing the copyright laws in England allow the making of ONE backup copy for safe-keeping for us honest people?

i find clone cd works, 'cos it just copies everything, protection and all.
