Hi
Anyone recommend a cheap source for new tyres, Anakees or Tourances and fitting, i have Anakees at the moment which are good but any recommendations, mostly on road use and for new chain and sprockets for my 2006 F650GS Dakar.

Any one fitted chain and sprockets themselves who could give me a hand if your local to me Bath Somerset would be great or just some advice

Dont want to use BMW dealer as just too expensive and i've only just had the 12000 mile service at NOG and that was enough

Can't help with chain and sprocket, but I'm planning to put Heidenau's on my Dakar when tyres come up for replacement.

Based on this thread and other research.

I buy my Anakees here:

Furlong Motorcycle Tyres
10 Manor Rd, Yeovil. BA20 1UQ
telephone: 01935 425888

Any M/C acessory shop can supply chain and spockets. The OEM chain is one piece so getting it off means either removing the swinging arm or splitting it with a chain tool or taking a grinder to it.
Removing the swinging arm does give you the chance to lube the bearings which don't seem to be greased at the factory, mine were red rusty at 15,000mls.

Hi,

Just sent you a PM.

Don't worry about one piece chains, they're easy to deal with.

Give me a shout we'll get something sorted.

Val.
