Champion EON 2 Spark Plugs

Read the packet!

:D up to 36k miles it says. I do know that some cars now specify 30k+ before first plug change so manufacturers will be using longer life materials. The old 1 thou per thousand wear rate no longer applies. I can do all 6 EON types if you want to put 'em in your car as well.

Any chance you are going to be at Lands End next month ? If you are I'll take a pack for my 1999 R1100GS please. Otherwise maybe you could get them to someone to bring down with them if you are not coming down yourself. I'm over in Belgium so pastage isn't very economical.

Den Is Going To Dutch GS Rally!!

Hi Gecko,
Just in case it helps, I know Den is going over to the Dutch GS Rally, so I'm sure if you bribe him with the offer of several (small) beers he could bring a pack of EON plugs over for you??
Joyce and I are not coming over this year - we're up in the Orkney's at that time this year.
Anyway, send Den a PM and see if he can sort something out.

Cheers............................Grizzly:beerjug: :beerjug:

Och ya big softie !!! Too warm fer ya this year is it :D
It's gonna be well warm this year unlike the subzero we had last year in Belgica - shame you can't make it but we'll have a dram or dozen for you :beerjug:
I may get in touch with Den - that's an idea but I don't need them urgently and it's a bit short notice now - I reckon he's probably on the way or almost ready to roll by now.
Cheers and big hug to the missus .
See you on the roads somewhere soon

I believe that the twin spark has a big and wee plug but cannot find a listing for it. No wee EONs..

Do the EON 2s fit a twin spark adventure? If yes I would be more than happy to take a 4 pack from you. From what grizzly states all 1150 GSes take the EON 2 plugs at 0.95 mm gap. Am I right here? Can anyone confirm they fit twin spark 1150's?

Straypuss, shipping to BE a problem? Name your price

Cheers

Sorry guys, but can you clarify this for me {as I have huge hangover from last night} - the EON2 plugs ARE compatible with a SINGLE SPARK '02 1150GS?

I need a toilet...................

Straypuss, can you count me in for a set for 1150 GS single spark please?

Let me know where to send the dosh....

Had a set in for probably 8000 - 10000 miles now - no problems. When I stuck them in I did a back-to-back comparison with a new set of RC9Y's - it was a really hot day (the sort of day when my bike would tend to pink) and I remember thinking that the EON's had the edge... so I left 'em in!

Ive had mine in for about a year now. To be honest I couldnt tell any difference to the NGK that were in previously.

But they are cheap and like I said I couldnt tell any difference. They run exactely the same in my bike. No difference to starting (it still starts first thing on the button). Never miss fires, still back fires occasionally on overrun (but it did that before). No difference to mpg.

I'll be using them again, but then again I still have 2 brand new plugs in the garage.

Still Got Same EON2's In!!

Ok, it's over a year now since I fitted the EON2's and started this thread. In that time I've done about 17K miles.
It's hard to evaluate the smoother running and easy, crisp starting now 'cos you get used to things after a while?, but in general I'd still say things are very smooth and running very sweet.
More importantly, pinking of any kind, under hard, high torque acceleration has never returned - even after 17K. Using original NGK's this would have raised it's head again by now?
Anyway, I'm still very pleased with them and it would be interesting to find out more about other GSer's experiences with them. ie. are they just ok?, just as good as original, or, a big improvement - the "best"?

Cheers.................................Grizzly

Mine have been in for 10,000 miles since 12k service. Do ya reckon not to change them at 24,000 as recomended for the standard plugs??

Supply Situation

The last few of plugs I had left in the house were sent out a week or two ago. Due to the renewed interest I will see if more can be had tomorrow. I will PM those who have contacted me.

Cheers Tony

Re Eon s/plugs in twinspark 1150

Hi Folks
sorry to go over the same ground again but did anybody establish if it is OK to fit eon spark plugs as the primary plugs on a twin sparl 03 1150gs?
and presumably keep the origional NGK DCPREKC or Bosch YR6LDE in the secondary . my new to me 03 1150 with only 5Kmiles on it pinks under load especially in the hot weather my BM dealer says use super unleaded but my local garages only stock 95oct
If Eons not suitable what is recomended as aposed to the normal NGK BKR7EKC plug .
Thanks in advance for any help on this
Mike .
