Change of helmet

For many years I have us e Shark Evo modular helmets which are able to flip the chin bar to the back of the helmet converting it into an open face. I need a replacement and I see that other manufacturers now have similar offerings such as the LS2 Advant X which I will take a look at.

Has anybody on here got an Advant X? Any comments on it and are there any other options worth considering?

I went to try on an LS2 Advant and the guy standing next to me said he’d had two and both got returned with quality issues .
It didn’t fit me anyway .

Having had Shark Evos, the new OXO is a big leap up in quality and comfort . My go to helmet in warmer weather ( ie not deepest winter )

I have been wearing Shoei Neotec, mk1 and mk2. The older one needs replacing. I tried the LS2 as stocked by my Guzzi dealer, but it does not fit. I am between their L and XL.

I then tried the Shark Oxo which is their latest flip back. This fits me in the same size as the Shoei. Infinity only had one in stock in my size and I did not like the shell suit colour scheme. I did buy some £90 gloves so no guilt about trying helmets there without buying one.

Note, the Shark Oxo is also sold as the Nolan N120 as they are the same company, and I bought one of these. Sportsbikeshop were heavily discounting their 2024 stock as Nolan released new colours for 2025. Reduced from £299 to £188.
The Nolan is made of polycarbonate but no heavier than the fibreglass Shoei but less than half the price.

Scorpion also do one but I could not find one to try on.
