changed my final drive oil tonight...

Just changed the FD oil on my '04 GS (19K miles), black as pitch, splines dry, small amount of water in the FD shaft housing but worst of all noticed quite a bit of side to side play! Looks like it'll have to be booked in for the dealer to look at it.

Changed mine last week, thanks go to Patzx12 for the inspiration and the help. Splines dry, oil fairly dark but smelled like OK, some fuzz on the speed sensor.
If I had known it was so easy I would have done it before!

Spotless, I'm not sure that mine, 06GSA, has the magnetic plug.
