Final drive oil on wheel

Hi all just had a cracking two day ride all around wales, stayed at the bikers campsite in camarthenshire cracking place. Anyway on return putting the bike in the garage i saw oil over the rim, i looked and saw a drip from the final drive at the bottom, however i think a bit of detail and then you guys might have sugestions before i start ripping everything to pieces (pictures to follow).
So last month i drained final drive to replace someone had put way to much in almost double the recomended 180ml if memory serves me correct anyway i replaced and also replaced the green o-ring on the speed sensor....i remeber it being very difficult to get the sensor back in an seat right (this may be of importance) anyway i got it on and away i went untill now. The oil is only present at the lower half of the final drive where it drips and i did notice oil up where the speed sensor is but doesnt look as bad....my thoughts are its leaking from that speed sensor o ring and then running down and then dripping off making it look a lot more dramatic. Is that o ring under pressure as its at the top so i was wondering how much would be able to get out. Anyway sorry for such a long post but any advice or if you have had a similar sutuation to advise on would be appteciated. Cheers

Clean all the old oil off, and the wheel and go for a short run around a around a local couple of miles circuit

And see if you can spot where it has started you can try (not getting it on the brake disc!!!) blowing some talc in and round the FD so you can see where the leak starts

That's a mess that will tell you nothing in the photos above Oh and by the look of it I would be cleaning off the disc and pads well too

Yeah, as mentioned by others i think thats the best course of action, i just thought id take some pictures to refer back to. Time to get the sunday morning cleaning session on the go. Will do all that an report back in a couple days
