CHanging the speedo face - how to?

Hi all

Just got a replacement face for the speedo from ebay. Need to change to mph one.

I just can't figure out how to open the speedo and remove the needle to replace the face

Any tips would be appreciated very much

Having just done my '05 GS it is really easy. Remove the speedo unit from the headlight (3* spring washers in the rubber bungs). Remove the glass facia (four screws on rear) and prise off speedo needle, face is tacked on with a little adhesive but it's easy to pop off. Replace with mph item and reverse the above steps. Don't forget to get dealer to electronically change the unit of measurement (€20 max!).

I swapped mine for a UK one. Enquire on here if there are any interested parties willing to do a swap if so it's easy to do it with the speedo job. Two side screws, two plugs (one bulb) and a mounting spigot are all you need to remove/adjust.
A BWM OE headlight will be around £250/300 so it's worth checking around before going down the OE road.
