charger to AUX pwr socket lead

Just bought the DIN lead for my Optimax 3 charger which i find after waiting a week for delivery does not fit the AUX power socket on my GS1150. So could someone please tell me what I need and where to buy

If the plug is an optimate/accumate one, twist off the red part at the end that goes into the socket. But dont throw it away.
It converts it into a plug for normal cigarette lighter sockets.

Does this mean the accessory plug lead shown in the picture, minus the red bit, will fit straight into the aux socket on the bike?
 
Probably would if I had one. Was thinking of buying one so thought I would ask first.

However, if you wish to send me one free of charge to try, I will not object.

If ewe ask the people sellin it and they tell you misstruths and it don't workies ... you might get ewes penneys back ...

Just been in the same situation... replaced my R1 for a GS and wanted to use my Accumate and the GS power socket.
I bought AMDCPLUG Accumate lead. Twisted off the red bit and bingo... all working fine.
 
Charging

Does none of your :GS motorcycles have a generator on board to keep your battreies in OPTIMUM condition ? or do you all have nakered ones ? or more muney than----------- me ? Dog

Got the Accumate when I had the R1... must admit that I never rode it too much during the winter (it wasn't that I never rode it in the winter, but was careful of the conditions).
Now I've got the GS I plan to ride it a lot more (one of the many reasons for buying it) and therefore your comments are valid.
However, as I already had the Accumate thought I might as well use it for the price of the adaptor cable
 
Likewise, bought mine to help start my Aprilia. Now I've got it and my GS has the 'starts alright but abs doesn't always kick in' thought i'd buy the lead and try it out. So thanks for the confirmation. Lead ordered.:shoot:

It'd be difficult to charge your bike in Barcelona from central London.
