Charging F650 GS twin spark battery

My '04 F650 GS twin spark has the remote positive & negative "bobbins". positive under the seat and negative on the engine casing. for jump starting I believe. Is it OK to use these points to charge the battery?

Just plug into the power outlet on the side of the frame .
 
Thanks for the replies, I've bought an Oxford Optimiser and hard wiring the supplied socket to the battery so I'll use that.
