Guys
Have i dropped a bollock and bought a tomtom rider 2 ,satnav works ok but i have not connected it to the bike yet so thought i would charge it off the mains untill my mate solders it on for me. Everything was going fine till the battery started to run down so i plugged it in and nothing! Left it over night and still not charged did a bit of surfing and found out this has happened to other people.... has anyone got any advice to help me get this tomtom charged? I thought it would it charge if i plugged it into the computer with the usb??? but have not tried yet
I'm a bit scared to use another charger incase it frys the boards

Hi gavb0,
Yes it should charge when plugged into the computer USB.Once connected and via the TThome software click the bottom right of the TT screen where the time is and it should show you the battery symbol at the top right charging.

I take it you have the bluetooth headset with your TTR2? Just a thought did you use the right charger for the unit?

dont think it will charge if plugged into your computer, you need to plug it into the mains supply with the mains plug that should have come with it.

Hi Elevensies, The TTR2 unit will charge when connected to the computer and you can check via the home software and operate my navigation device.

cheers for that, i never realsed, i just assumed that when you see the battery light flashing on the unit while connected to puter, was just to show connection, not that charging was taking place.

nice one cheers:)
