Guys, just a quickie to say Charley Boorman is on stage at Vicars Street on the 28th March - with Simon Pavey, Dakar Rally legend. This is part of his UK and Ireland Tour, doing 30 nights and should be interesting and a great laugh. All the details are on his site at www.charleyboormanlive.com - there was some talk of a ride out on the day - but no details as yet.

The show's made up of a comedian - starts the show off, Simon Pavey and then Charley. Big video screens, anecdotes etc. The first show in the UK (Monday - Milton Keynes) is sold out. He's also promoting his Cape Town to Victoria Falls adventure ride - ie. ride to Victoria Falls with Charley, on the 15th August 2010.

Hope to see yas there.

Willie O'Dea, the Defense Minister, has just resigned.
The Coalition Government is under pressure with the Green Party likely to implode, and FF to be gutted at the next election.
The economy is in tatters, the Public Service disheartened, unemployment growing, businesses closing,

and now:augie, when you thought that things couldn't get any worse

ah should be good might look at going

not ickets for sale in dub yet though

if i hear that name "boorman" again I'll crack

he has the TV booked up for years , and to make matters worse
his oulfella was on pat kennys show "touther morning" racking up all the films he made , in all fairness ewen was less a prima donna than "booringman"

£20 odd to see him prattle on about the exact same things hes done on the DVDs seem a bit much... i hope for his sake it's small venues he's picked or it could look a bit on the empty side.

Just to say I think Charley's a bit like marmite - u either love it or hate it. The shows going down great guns - sold out Milton Keynes, Middlebrough and Warrington. Everyone having a laugh and getting good press reviews. Charley knows pretty well that it was a big break for him, the whole Ewan thing - and is very humbled by how it changed his life. He talks about this and acknowledges how much he owes Ewan for the break. He's pushing and promoting Help For Heroes on the tour, as well as key nights for Unicef and the Dyslexia action group - so his hearts in the right place!

The feedback from the crowds has been great - so if ya like him, get down there - if ya dont - then thats cool too! Have another slice of marmalade!:beerjug::beerjug:
All the best

I saw Charley last week in Glasgow and enjoyed the show. It was pretty interesting and a good laugh. There was a policy of strictly no photography during the show, but I managed to sneak off a few shots before being told off (you cant really hide a DSLR and 400mm lens under your jacket:thumb2).

The queue afterwards to get stuff signed was massive though. Took the best part of an hour to get everyone through. Still, as others have said, if you like Charley you will enjoy this show.

The whole setup, Charley, Simon Pavey and the host whose name escapes me.
