Cheap car (or bike) hire in Cyprus.

Can anyone help me please. Im back off to Cyprus in December and will be there for a month maybe even 2. I would like to know if someone can come up with a car/bike hire company that wont charge the earth for its hire. It will be on hire over the Xmas period too. if anyone knows anything or knows someone who knows someone. I have tried the run of the mill hire car companies off of travelsoup errr mark it and comparetheripoff.com and they are available but BLOODY expensive...

P.S I'd quite like a biggish bike for the month but there you go...

Wonder if I will still have my balls intact if SWMBO finds out about it..

I was there last December for a weeks holiday in Paphos. Like most airports, there are plenty of car hire places.
Did see a few places hiring scooters in the town as well.

ANYhow,
i would try to check out a few local hire shops and haggle.
It's not peak season - you'll have it for a while - you're not likely to come over as a two-week-tourist, inexperienced and liable to thrash it.. are you?
