Cheap Digs in central London

I`m starting a contract this Sunday night that will mean 1 week on and 1 week off. I`m looking for very cheap digs in central London. Just somewhere to get a bit of kip and a shower.
A room in someones house/flat or cheap hotels are fine.

Any ideas you southern shandy types?

Camden Lock Hotel

Have used it at the weekends for the Camden Market, and the comedy club there.

I believe it's £69 a night inc continental breakfast. The rooms are small, but functional. Warning though, if you end up on the front of the hotel facing the road, it is noisy! Take some ear plugs, or just get trollied in one of the many bars.

I had a training course in the City and I stayed at a YMCA (Young man etc )

It was a basic single room, but with en-suite and TV - it was the cheapest I could find.
