CHEAP FRAME PLUGS

They won't know what's hit them this morning!:D

Just thought I'd let you know where to get cheap frame plugs for the 7 places where simple round plugs will fit to tidy up the side view of the GS.
The full kits available from the usual sources cost an arm and leg (but do include the 2 awkward tube ends i.e. swing arm pivot and the one just below the seat cut at an angle).
Anyway, the source for the simple round plugs is 'ktsparts2015' in Durham, I found them on ebay and they only cost pennies.
The items are 221817431048, Round black End Caps Insert Plugs, Black. You will need 3 off 25mm outside dia and 4 off 38mm outside dia. I had to lightly dress the part of the 38mm plugs which fits into the tube to avoid too tight a fit.
Hope this helps.

Guys can someone help, i've just received my end caps and found the exact tubes to fit the (x4) 25mm caps but for the life of me can only find 2 places to fit the 38mm plugs and they are in the frame just under the tank at the top of the engine. For the life of me I can't seem to locate where the others should be fitted???

Anyone got any pics of theirs fitted?

Ta muchly...

There are 2 on either side above the cylinders, well that's on the GS, haven't looked at the GSA.

I received mine today. Now I just need a bike to put them on!:D

Half my order arrived today, been too busy to fit it !

Now all you GSA owners take care with those bungs!

It's a well known "fact" that the upper tubes on the GSA tank frame also double up as "deer scarers"! The tubes are open so they emit a high pitched (inaudible to humans) whistle which keeps deer (and other scary wild creatures) away from your awesome steed as you're adventuring along. ;)

If you stick a bung in em you'll stop them from working and might invalidate your insurance in the event of a bike/deer collision :eek:

As a humble GS rider I have no such problems to worry about and will fit mine as soon as they arrive :thumb2
