Made this last night in a couple of hours. Total cost was £1.00 for the 5 clips, plate is a 3mm thick aluminium No Parking sign that had conveniently fallen down near my place of work:

Needs a little finishing i.e. countersunk fasteners for a flush finish, some foam on the rear of the plate & cable ties on the rear of a couple of the clips just to ensure it stays there. Not sure the cable ties are needed though as it's a tight fit.

Like the idea and think I might have the odd triangular sign at home, but yours is um, quite large? - does it give you extra lift at speed maybe?
Can we have a competition for what the new sign will say when you're parked?

Maybe I could leave the triangular corners on mine like delta aerofoils and scarf up some cars that get too close.

Not too big really. Sides protude from the edge of the stand by 10-15mm & only then to provide a base for the retaining clips.

The CL was from CLAMPING. As I said, it was a No PARKING sign that fallen down, shame to waste the opportunity of a free sheet of 3mm ally.

There's enough left over to make a sump protector. I have used what I think are K100 shock bushes as rubber mounts to isolate vibes & I turned up 4 spacers on the lathe last night. Just need to borrow a 22mm drill bit & hope that the Cornflakes box derived template is accurate:confused:
