For those who want to use an existing GPS and not an overpriced bike model and also cant stomach the rip off price being asked for the Givi GPS bag at the mo, there is a cheap an cheerful interim solution in the form of a waterproof pouch from Lidl at £1.99. The square version fits my Navigo a treat and has a fold over velcro flap which goes nicely over the GSA's top screen bar. This will do until the Givi is down to sensible price or they start to come up on ebay. For other bikes I am sure there are ways of fixing it, including feeding in the power.
If you want a pouch get to the store pronto as they will all be gone.... a bit like their yummy Grossman pasta sauces at 80p!! :thumb

I have been planning to use my tomtom 1 on my bike and so thought I'd post my cheapo solution. It's basically a bicycle mount that I found on the MAPLIN website along with a bracket for my tomtom 1. pictures help so will try attaching them below.

The whole thing cost me about £15 if I remember correctly.

Hmm just previewed my post and I don't think I am able to post attachments sorry :blast

My current solution is a Garmon Nuvi 255 on a ram mount behind the screen. For when it rains, I ordered a hundred ziploc bags from eBay, which the Nuvi is a tight fit into, and I just stick it in one of them, then into the cradle as normal.

It is not an ideal solution (if you are in mixed sunshine then rain, you struggle to read the screen through the wet bag), but works well to keep it dry, and means that I have it in the proper mount unobscured for the 90% of my riding that does not involve being rained on.

I use a Navigo converted to run Tomtom.

Water proofing consists of a clear plastic bag and a rubber band, all free from work.:clap

And how the feck can you see that? Too low down, I would have thought. Get a proper bike one mounted on the front subframe so that it's just off your line of sight.

Which of the posts was this a reply to? If it was mine, it is already just off my line of sight, up above the screen support.

Ignore my post. I was imagining summat that wasn't there! I was reading about putting SatNavs in tankbags on another forum and must have carried the image across here.
Stupid boy. :(

That comes from insufficient alcohol intake, I think, which should urgently be rectified.
