Cheap Hugger

A cheap hugger is nearly available. Check out NWS's response to my request:

Hello, thank you for your enquiry. Apologies for the
delay in response. Hugger available in approx three
weeks. Cost, tbc;£99.00 in black, £145.00in carbon.
Simon, NWS

Monkey,
Ask that Simon fella why the plastic jobbies are about double the price of similar stuff for other bikes? I find it hard to be grateful when being overcharged. Anyhow my 3mm thick tailored rubber job does the trick, even if some feeling is lost.

They currently charge £80 for a black plastic one for a VFR and ISTR that I paid £120 for my carbon fibre one for my VFR some 5 years ago. So they're not charging double the price for their GS one. Huggers in general don't seem to be very good value for money though, I will agree.

I'm interested if they make it to keep muck off the shock, swing arm and people.
If it's too short to perform this simple task they can hugger themselves with it.

Don't know who you are but......."May the Force be with you!"

PPS,

Hope the Millennium Falcon is running OK.

Ummm decisions decisions.....................Carbon Fibre for me please. Count me in.

Ive had two huggers from NWS in black plastic for Varaderos. Both were excellent, came with good instrcutions and all fittings including little bottle of threadlock.

For most bikes they include an extension to the hugger that goes down past the bottom of the shock linkage, i think they call this a crap flap! Be interesting if they have been able to develop the same thing for the GS.

Got a photo somewhere of one of the huggers that got smashed when a T66 chunked at 120mph. The hugger did not fall apart as you might expect. Ill dig it out & post it here later.

I`ve mailed NWS about prices & pics but up to press they have`nt been in touch, as soon as they do I`ll post :thumb .

a plastic one for me too, if it works well at keeping the crap off the legs.

Hi all

Count me in, I had read a while ago and have been waiting for NWS to start making one. I would be up for a black plastic one.

Cheers

Seems like a fair price, I would be interested in a plastic one.

Haven't even got the GS12 on order yet... but pending that, and pending pic of the hugger..... think i'll be a definate....

Think if pic is added to the post.... NWS will sell a hell of a lot more of 'em...
