Mate of mine bought a posh stainless steel oil cooler protector from Touratech, I think, anyways cost about 30 quid. Browsing through a model shop one day and spotted sheets of anodised aluminium mesh in silver or gold.

Buy mesh, take home, cut with scissors, slide in from below, bend over top of oil cooler (which keeps it in place) and hey presto, one oil cooler protector. Looks mint (I will try and borrow a camera for a picy)

Total cost 3 quid.

B&Q have a whole range of different meshes A standard sheet will make approx 4 oil cooler guards for around a tenner.
