Cheap PD tank ?

I can JUST remember it at 2and6 a Gal:augie:rob

I remember it at 4/9d a gallon in about 1965,

I used to put four galls into my 350 AJS Model 16 and get change from £1.

Mind you . . I was only earning about £600 p.a. then, and half of that went to my mother for my keep :blast

£1 went a long way in those days. I could survive for a week at Taunton Tech' on £1 for fuel and my lunches. :rob

Ahhh but the beauty of the HPN tank is you don't have to fill it to the neck, it's tougher as you say, gives additional weather protection and as you say is cheaper than the genuine article.

The nylon version which can be painted is "only" 585 Euro and as the moulds were binned 6 months ago and no more will be made they could be a great investment opportunity as well. :augie :D

Sounds like that program Cash in the attic as thats where I have my HPN tank for my airhead, waiting fo my big journey one day (by which time there will be petrol stops every 100 miles across Africa and Asia:rolleyes:).
