For a week long trip. Need a second stove for a mate. Screw on gas canister type please to save on overlapping gas cannister issues. Something simple and cheap. Just needs to support a pot to boil/cook. Not into Alpkit territory

Have a look in Go Outdoors around £30

Halfords have a stove thing and four cartridges of gas for £27. Four cartridges will last quite a while.

Just how cheap does your mate want it, Don?

Flog it all for say, a tenner or £15 on Facebook local, when he gets back. Or keep it for next year…..

Here’s another one….

£5.72 is the price to be beat…. Can the forum rise to the challenge?

:D

:popcorn

PS Bods here moan all day about globalisation and shite from China, but this time it’s come up trumps. See what I did there?

I am reminded of The Tubes’ great anthem….. ‘What do you want from life?’, all be it that was about game shows.

For what it's worth, I used one of those 9.99 ones on a recent 4 week tour of Europe and it was spot on. I have a small MSR that screws onto the top of the canister (which was many times as much) and to be honest i preferred the cheap one. Much more stable, self igniting, and doesn't take up much more room.....recommended

Here you go Don. Order it pronto and it’ll be delivered before you go away.

Excellent, even an ignition, it's quite amazing it costs so little

It costs so little because chinese slave labour are fed seven grains of rice per day and whipped if they don’t make enough stoves.

That or it’s totally crap. :D
I’d definitely take a back up source of ignition because those piezo things can fall apart without notice.

mate and I have decided to see if we can survive just one stove. Failing that we'll buy one out there. Thanks for the suggestions
