Hi,

My large headlight (dipped beam) has a cracked glass so I need to replace it. BM prices, and those of the other usual parts vendors, are sky-high. I do NOT want to upgrade the light, just looking for a solution at a less eye-watering price.

In an old thread, our Welshman in Jo'burg suggested there's a Hella part that fits.

Please, does anyone have any knowledge or experience of fitting alternative parts?

Thanks,

Paul G

Hello do replacement lamps in these diameters:-

2.50 (2)
2.75 (2)
3.50 (10)
4.75 (1)
5-3/4" Conversion (6)
5.75 (1)
6.00 (2)
7" Conversion (11)
7.00 (1)

Figures in brackets are qty of units at the given diameter. May need to cobble together a fitting adaptor, may not :) Found them on this American site but doubtless a UK Hella stockist will be able to help.

A used headlight glass from Motorworks is only £40.00 though:nenau

That's interesting - it's about £100 less than any used part I was able to find. OK thanks, that's the solution.
