Many years ago, approx 1994, I met a gang of trail riders through the TRF, I was in North Wales group and they were from Cheshire group. I think they used to meet on the A6 at The Robin Hood pub, but don't quote me on that.
Now a couple of the chaps were named Roy J(XR600) an electrician, Steve P(XR600) a roofer and Tony B(XR250?) trade not known. All sound lads.
Now I often wonder where they got to or if they still go trail riding, as I think Cheshire TRF disbanded under a heavy cloud.:nenau
Do any tossers know of any ex Cheshire TRF blokes who match this description?

Timpo.

I used to be in the TRF and we did meet up in the Robin Hood on High Lane but I don't remeber those names although I sold my bikes in 94 as a knee jerk reaction to becoming a father. I moved up to Scotland in 95 and have no idea what happened to the meets at the Robin Hood, maybe Spout knows:nenau

Yes, I think it was a year or two after that but not any more as I had a '92 WR200 and then a'94 DR350 and then a new XR400 in '97 whilst I rode with them.
Somebody may come along who knows them.:nenau

I went to the Trf meeting in Manchester a few years back...these chaps where younger than me:D
but the lancaster lot are older ...So i's start there if i was you

They are still there drinking beer and riding like complete clowns. Last year we went to Buxton and one of them smashed his ribs in and my Husaberg 501 dropped a valve....so i had to push it home :blast

Yep I knew/still know them chaps, Roy and Steve - although really, really keen on trail bikes packed in a few years ago and not seen them since.
Tony sold his trail bike and had a GSA and a couple of 650 PD's before selling up and getting into push bikes.
The Cheshire group dispanded around 2000 and whilst out a M8 and I met with a few ex-members a decided with the immenent NERC etc stuff coming up we needed to a local TRF group and hence the Manchester group was reformed.
Have a look at the website and come along, we get to Wales fairly regularilly, we met Neil T a few months ago over there.

Cheers

Andy
