Halliwell Jones in Chester is hosting a Motorrad open day on Sunday 19th May. THIS SUNDAY !! They have spent £150,000 on their new Motorrad workshop. It's a fairly new endeavour into Motorrad for one of the biggest BMW car dealers in the Country. With one of the largest stock of new and used bikes in Europe as well as a large, brand new fully kitted out workshop.

We would like to invite anyone to come down on Sunday for a guided tour, a free breakfast as well as massive discounts on your next service.

Have a look around and see what goes on behind the scenes. Check out the equipement we use and the processes involved. It's not often you get the chance to see behind the scenes.

Many of the local groups are joining us to make it a great day too . With stands from IAM, ROSPA, Cambrian tyres, Cheshire and North Wales police. As well as displays of some classic and modern bikes.

P.S. The Chester half marathon is on the same day. There are few road closures in the city centre so best to come in on the Sealand road. From Wales.

I'm hoping to show my face. I'm still neck deep in clearing out my old workshop and finished off jobs on the other side of the Wirral which is taking up all my free time. And I only have a few weekends left to do it.

The rest of the team will be there though. All great lads.

Good turnout Ted , thanks for the invite. There wasnt any workshop access just the offices and a free space with blood bikes and an IAM group. Some clothing discounts and the main attraction “ bacon and sausage butties”

Nice little trip out....12k service booked for next month so the offer of 20% off is welcome, but the slip says the 20% is off labour only....will see if it extends to parts on the day
Every little helps
Sausage and bacon butties were being produced continuously on a help yourself basis, and very nice quality meats too
Selection of Danish pastries, orange juice, apple juice and water for free - nice coffee machine (It's also the car service centre)
Some nice older bikes on display, mainly by Steve Parry who is a member on here
There were workshop tours, every hour I think

All the staff are stuff buzzing from what was a great turn out. There is talk of another one already.
