Always managed to get rid of these until I caught the GS bug then no matter what I tried the irritating little strips refused to be beaten.
Came close with Michelin P4s but that irritating piece of shiny virgin rubber persisted. Until Friday.
Two things saw their demise.
1. Metzeler Roadtec 01's - subjective I know and forgive the technical terms but feel more 'planted' than the P4s and less 'teetery' when banked over.
2. A track day at Darley Moor - a lovely little circuit near Ashbourne. Real smooth grippy suface and a well run and organised day.
Both highly recommended.
Look on the Darley web site if you fancy a track day, usually on a Friday and they do 1/2 days as well. A fair few paid on the day so you can check the weather before coughing up.
In fact if anyone fancies going and wants the company of a fellow gser give me a shout. Really fancy going again.
ps, no connection with Darley or Metzeler
