I’m going to be installing my Chigee Play on new Himmy soon, once I get an electrical connector in the post.

I’ve also installed a Healtec Thunderbox to the bike which I’ll use to power accessories such as the Chigee and heated grips etc.

Now, the question is-the Chigee must be wired up to an ACC wire which is controlled by ignition .

BUT, the Thunderbox can also be wired up to an ACC to use Ignition controlled mode.

So the question is-do I wire up the white wire of the Thunderbox to the ACC plug and then just power up the Chigee via the Thunderbox or do I connect the yellow wire of the Chigee direct to the ACC wire instead ?

Hope the makes sense and you can see what I’m asking ?

Ta

Just wire direct + - to thunderbox forget the white wire

Did I dream it, but wasn’t there a post / thread, telling us that the Chigee device needed a separate pulse from a power source connected to the ignition, in order to fire up? Almost as if the Chigee itself had its own internal relay. In other words, wiring it directly to the Thunderbox (all be it that can be triggered without the white wire) didn’t work.

Yes it needs an ignition trigger . Think I’ll connect it to Thunderbox but then connect the yellow Chigee wire to the red ACC wire .

Just waiting for Ali Express. If not I can buy a male/ female plug from local auto elec place .

Did that but it didnt power up

See post #3,

The 450 has a USB C socket. The chances are that’ll be fed initially from the bike’s 12 volt, ignition controlled, feed. Tap into that. Or the rear light (not the brake light) or somewhere in the easy to access fuse box or the ‘permanently on’ front light.

Ta but it’s all sussed . There’s an ACC socket with a blank female plug . I’m just waiting for the 62p plug to arrive from Ali Express so I can tap into it

Looks like this and is in the post

Just remember that you will only need to use one connecting pin.
You will also need to push out the grey* rubber/silicone bung from the existing blanking plug and insert it into the unused (negative - ) pin space to retain its waterproof qualities.

*I suspect the the yellow plugs that will come supplied, do have a pass through hole in them.
