Hi All!!

I purchased a Chigee AIO-5 Play for BMW in July 2024..

Its been great up to now, when I upgraded the firmware to the latest version (1.8.0 from 1.6.3) yesterday and I lost access to the blue dashboard screen with the speedo, rev counter etc. All I get now is the red screen which is bloody useless!!

I have checked the Nav cradle wiring etc and everything is ok, I have also contacted Chigee for support, sent and awaiting reply.

My question is has anyone else had this issue please?

AND

If I have to replace it which is the best one to go for?

(R1200GS LC 2017 with analogue dials)

Thanks

Have you tried changing back to the older firmware, the one that you preferred? You'll need to download the firmware onto a micro SD card. The full instructions and firmware versions going back are all on the Chigee web site.

Thanks for the advice, but I have tried that already :(

I had this issue. Unplug it from the bike and plug it back in. That fixed it for me, it just forgot it was a BMW version (wonder wheel stopped working as well

Problem solved!!

Its turns out it was the cradle..

I traced the wiring back to under the beak, no problem there but I then unscrewed the cradle itself checked everything I could, mounted it back on the bar and hey presto!!

It must have the pins not making contact on the back of the device, and by moving it, it then sat more square between the cradle and the Chigee.

God knows why it was working yesterday, but hey ho, its fixed now

Thanks for advice gents (y)
