Just wondering ... where do people mount the front and rear cameras on their bikes?

For front - Under the beak, over the beak, on the headlight?
For rear ???

Just ordered mine and should have it soon enough. Just need to work out positions and mounting .... and then where to wire in that yellow wire.

Yellow, trigger wire, to any switched live supply.

Cameras? Look at your bike and decide what works best for you.

Turns out that on the BMW mount, and with the AIO-6 Max, you don't need to wire it to the battery at all, and don't need the yellow wire. The BMW Navigator mount provides all the power needed for the cameras.

Phew!

That just leaves the imponderables over the cameras.

Which bike?
1250GS Adventure.

I think I'll mount the front under the beak.

Still unsure where to stick the rear camera. Main options seem to be under the top box rack plate, or else on the license plate, if the camera can come around enough for a view.

You sure about that? I have the LTE so it might be different but I was led to believe that the MAX needs the extra lead that comes with the cameras, and that needs to be wired to the battery, and yellow to switched live. It did on the LTE anyway.

I mounted the front camera under the front beak extension, I moulded a little flat platform out of black milliput to stick it to.
For the rear, at first I had it on top of the rear light under the rack, but for that I needed to use some spacers to lift the rack for more room. But, I've since changed that to under the light, just to one side of the rear number plate light. now I don't get a rear light/brake light reflection on all my rear video footage.

I wonder if having something on the video that clearly shows your brake light was on (and for how long) might be useful in the case of being rear-ended?

Yeah, I use the data overlay, that shows when the front or rear brake is being used.
